Four furniture shopping tips for Black Friday 2021

Black Friday is one of the biggest sales events for furniture stores.
Next to Boxing Day, Black Friday is becoming a busier shopping day in Canada.
One of our customers recently asked me if I think shopping on Black Friday is worth it. In my experience in the furniture industry over the past decade, I believe it is.
This year especially, stock is limited due to various economic factors. In anticipation of shortages, my team and I at Fair Deal Furniture secured stock early and pre-ordered many of our most popular furniture items for our Pre Black Friday Sale.
To help our customers make the most of this Black Friday (November 26, 2021), we’ve provided a few of our top furniture shopping tips below!

Take advantage of early deals
Many people assume that the biggest Black Friday deals are unveiled on the big day, but the truth is most stores will offer their biggest Black Friday deals a few weeks in advance.
Local stores like Fair Deal have the added advantage of having their own stock; unlike the big box chains, Fair Deal doesn’t have to share its stock with other stores. This often means that the availability of our furniture is more reliable than that of our competitors.
Shopping early allows you to access the same deals as soon as possible and have your furniture item delivered to your home sooner.
We recommend our customers to shop for big ticket items, such as bedroom sets, well before Black Friday.

Shop several weeks ahead of your ideal delivery date
This is the year to shop early.
We have secured stock and pre-ordered our most popular furniture items in anticipation of shortages and we have a wide selection of furniture items available.
We advise our customers to have an idea of when they would like to have their item delivered. It’s best to shop 6-8 weeks in advance of your ideal delivery date. Now is a great time to shop if you would like to have your new furniture during the Christmas holidays or early in the new year.

Shop for furniture online
We have often heard our customers say that while they look for furniture inspiration online, they prefer to come in and see the item before purchasing it. However, we have noticed an increase in how many of our customers are choosing to purchase furniture on our website.
Our website provides several photos and the specifications for each furniture item. On Instagram and Facebook, we’ve posted videos to help our customers see some of the cool features of our furniture.
While there may be some items that you prefer to see in store, it may be easier to shop for some items from the comfort of your own home. Good examples are dining sets, coffee tables, and side tables which are usually made with wood, veneer, tempered glass, and other familiar materials.
More of our customers are are choosing to buy our furniture online from the comfort of their own home.
Our website provides photos and details to help you get a sense of how the item would look in your home.

If you don’t see what you’re looking for, talk to a salesperson
If you have a particular furniture item in mind for your home, but you don’t see exactly what you’re looking for on the website or in the flyer, we recommend that you talk to a salesperson directly.
